Upwork’s list of fastest-growing skills in Q2 includes ServiceNow, video editing app

August 14, 2019

Skills in ServiceNow and video editing app Da Vinci Resolve ranked as the fastest-growing skills on Upwork Inc.’s (NASDAQ: UPWK) online staffing platform, the company announced today.

The Upwork Skills Index ranks the website’s 20 fastest-growing skills each quarter, with the top 20 growing more than 120% year over year and the top 10 growing more than 400% year over year.

“In booming cities like Boston, Denver, San Francisco and San Jose, the unemployment rate has fallen below 3%, which makes finding qualified and highly specialized talent more challenging than ever before,” said Stephane Kasriel, CEO of Upwork and co-chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on the New Social Contract. “As a result, for more and more skills, businesses are relying on nontraditional talent sources to effectively engage the best workers, no matter where they live.”
