Temporary staffing revenue up 14% among firms taking part in SIA Pulse Survey

Temporary staffing revenue grew by a median 14% year over year in April among firms taking part in the latest Pulse Survey released by Staffing Industry Analysts on May 31. The growth represents an uptick from the median 12% year over year growth among firms in the previous report covering February.

Locum tenens staffing revenue rose a median 23% year over year in April — the fastest growth rate among staffing segments — but that was down from its 30% median year-over-year increase in February.

IT staffing revenue rose by a median 9% year over year in April compared to 13% in February, and industrial staffing was flat with median 0% revenue growth in April.

Marketing/creative staffing revenue rose a median 17% in April, year over year, down from 33% in February.

The report also found that sales difficulty fell to 2.86 on a five-point sliding scale, while average recruiting difficulty rose to 3.54 in April.

Data in the survey is based on responses from 120 staffing firms.
