Vietnam – Government announces labour cooperation with Czech Republic (Vietnam Plus)

Vietnam’s government announced that it stands ready to cooperate with the Czech Republic in selecting and training nurses, orderlies and workers in other occupations to work in the country, reports Vietnam Plus. Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung said each year, Vietnam sends about 145,000 guest workers abroad, mostly to Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Germany and Malaysia, highlighting the potential for cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic. Dung also called on the Czech Republic to help Vietnam improve professional skills for workers in such areas as metallurgy and machinery manufacturing. Meanwhile, Vice Chairman of the Czech Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies Vojtěch Filip said that Czech Republic wants to work together and establish a training facility for workers in those industries in Vietnam. Filip added that the Czech Republic will grant working visas to nurses and orderlies after they receive professional and linguistic training in Vietnam.
