Taiwan – Most workers want to switch jobs after Lunar New Year (Taiwan News)

The majority, or 90%, of Taiwanese workers want to switch to new jobs after Lunar New Year holiday on 5 February 2019, reports Taiwan News citing survey data from online job bank Yes123. The 90% figure was the highest in Yes123’s survey history as 55% listed dissatisfaction with their current salary as their reason for job hopping. This was followed by poor company benefits (41%), lack of promotion opportunities (33%) no prospect for the company to develop (31%), and no opportunity to develop their talents (28%). Meanwhile, 65% of workers have already started looking for jobs. In addition, many office workers are planning to seek employment abroad, with 84% of those planning on switching jobs disclosing that they are considering working overseas with many of them expecting to earn 14% more overseas.
