Taiwan – 4 in 5 workers want to change jobs in Q2 (Xinhua)

Xinhua reports that four out of five respondents to an employment survey in Taiwan said they plan to change jobs in the second quarter mainly due to their dissatisfaction with current salaries, the highest percentage for the same period in six years. Xinhua cited survey data from job site Yes123, which conducted a survey of 1,370 workers. Among those who want to seek a new job, approximately 30% said they have already sent out their resumes to potential employers asking for new jobs. For those who plan to change jobs, 53.2% cited low salary levels as the main reason, 44.6% saw no prospect for the company to develop, 40.1% felt lack of a possible salary increase, 33.3% disliked long working hours, and 26.5% had no interest in their current jobs.
