India – Go-Jek acquires AI recruitment platform AirCTO

12 June 2019

Indonesia-based ride-hailing firm Go-Jek announced that it acquired Bengaluru-based AirCTO, an Artificial Intelligence-based recruitment platform.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The AirCTO team will be joining Go-Jek with immediate effect.

AirCTO, founded in 2016, uses human and AI systems to help companies manage their hiring funnel and help them recruit top developers and provides sourcing, screening and interview services.

Go-Jek added that the AirCTO team will be looking into building products that accelerate recruitment for Go-Jek and that it will use the acquisition to open its second engineering and product development centre in Gurgaon, India.

“The acquisition aligns with Go-Jek's focus on hiring premium talent to support the development of its Super App,” Go-Jek stated.

Atif Haider, Founder, AirCTO, commented, “We were in talks with a number of other tech giants, but we found Go-Jek to be the best fit, as we share similar DNA - something that’s really important for us. We intend to use our prowess in recruitment to contribute to the hyper-growth Go-Jek is currently experiencing across Southeast Asia.”

Go-Jek was founded in 2010 and provides a variety of complete services starting from transportation, logistics, payment, food delivery, and other on-demand services.
