UK – Flexible workers more likely to encounter workplace sexual harassment (BBC News)

Workers in flexible jobs are more likely to have experienced unwanted sexual behaviour, according to BBC News, with survey data carried out by ComRes. The survey amongst people who rely on flexible working patterns, including those on zero hours contracts, self-employed, freelancers and gig economy workers, 42% have faced sexual harassment at work. This is compared to 29% who are employed by a business. Furthermore, 40% of women have experienced some form of sexual harassment in the workplace and women aged 18-34 are most at risk of sexual harassment at work, with 43% having experienced it.
