Belgium – SD Worx acquires temp agency VIO Interim

27 October 2017

Belgian HR service provider SD Worx announced that it has acquired temporary staffing firm VIO Interim. The acquisition was made from investment fund Down2Earth and marks SD Worx’s entry into the staffing market.

VIO Interim specialises in logistics, production, sales and services and is headquartered in Ghent.  The company will continue to operate as a fully independent subsidiary under SD Worx Holding.

SD Worx added it aims to ensure that VIO Interim will continue to grow through internationalisation and diversification.

“SD Worx Group will continue to focus on its core business, namely, payroll and HR on a local and international level. However, because VIO Interim is part of the company, we are now able to operate in a market that offers great opportunities,” Filip Dierckx, CEO of SD Worx Holding, said. "We want to expand the new flexible labour division to take it to the same level and scope as SD Worx Group's payroll operations."

VIO Interim has approximately 1,250 customers, including small and medium-sized enterprises as well as larger companies, and employs 3,500 temporary workers. The company was founded in 2009 by Marianne Kindt and Steven Holvoet. The founders will continue to invest in the company after the takeover and will once again act as minority shareholders. VIO Interim will conclude 2017 with a turnover of €100 million.

No further financial details were announced.
