Workspend acquires DCR Workforce’s MSP business

April 22, 2019

Workspend, a managed service provider headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey, acquired DCR Workforce's MSP business. Last year Procurement software maker Coupa Software (NASD: COUP) last year acquired DCR Workforce. DCR Workforce’s VMS operates under the Smart Track brand.

The acquisition increases the scale of Workspend’s MSP program, including the industries it serves, and strengthens its geographic footprint in the Southeastern US. The transaction closed April 12; terms were not disclosed.

“The continued evolution of the MSP landscape necessitates a new and innovative approach to the procurement and management of a contingent workforce,” said Workspend President Dan Rothberg.

Both DCR Workforce and Workspend programs operate nationwide. Workspend operates 26 offices nationwide and global offices in Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, Singapore, India and Latin America. It targets all sectors, with its strongest presence in healthcare and financial services. The certified Minority Business Enterprise targets clients with an annual spend of $10 million to $100 million.
