Uber IPO: $10 billion in stock, valuation of $90 billion to $100 billion (Reuters)

April 10, 2019

Uber Technologies will seek to sell about $10 billion worth of stock in its initial public offering, Reuters reported. The human cloud, ride-sharing firm will make the registration of the offering public on Thursday, putting it on track to price its IPO and begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange in early May, people familiar with the matter said. Uber is seeking a valuation of between $90 billion and $100 billion, influenced by the performance of smaller rival Lyft’s shares following its IPO late last month, the sources said.
