Temp staffing revenue growth slows to 9% in surveyed firms: Pulse

Temporary staffing revenue growth slowed to 9% in June among staffing firms taking part in the latest Pulse Survey released by Staffing Industry Analysts last week. Growth was 14% in survey results for April.

Marketing/creative staffing was the fastest-growing segment in June with staffing firms reporting revenue in this segment rose a median 27% year over year.

Life sciences temp staffing posted the second-largest increase at median 17% year-over-year growth. Travel nursing posted the next-fastest growth, rising a median 16%.

IT staffing revenue rose a median 7% year over year while industrial staffing was up a median 3% and office/clerical revenue rose a median 1% year over year.

The Pulse Report also found that average sales difficulty increased slightly in June while average recruiting difficulty decreased slightly.

Data in the survey is based on responses from 114 staffing firms.
