Nevada first state to stand against pre-employment marijuana testing (CNN)

June 13, 2019

Nevada employers cannot refuse to hire a job applicant who fails a drug test for marijuana under a new law signed by the governor on June 5; the state is the first in the nation to approve such a law, CNN reported. The Nevada law takes effect in 2020; there are some exceptions. However, New York City has approved a similar measure. Nevada voters approved recreational use of marijuana in 2016.
