AI recruitment chatbot firm AllyO announces $45 million in funding round

AllyO, the maker of an artificial intelligence-power chatbot, today announced a $45 million series B funding round. Total funding at the company is now $64 million.

The Mountain View, California-based company plans to use the funding to expand its product and global presence and AI team.

Last year, AllyO won a “Shark Tank”-styled competition at Staffing Industry Analysts’ Collaboration in the Gig Economy conference in Dallas.

New investors in the series B funding round include Sapphire Ventures and Scale Venture Partners. Existing investors include Gradient Ventures (Google’s AI fund), Randstad Innovation Fund, Bain Capital Ventures and Cervin Ventures.

Jai Das, president of Sapphire Ventures, will join AllyO’s board.

The company also reported that it expects more than 15% of Americans will find their next job using AllyO in 2020. Customers at the firm now include Avis Budget Group, The Cheesecake Factory, Pitney Bowes and Brinker International among others.
